Human cases of Avian Influenza exceed 100 in Egypt

A statement released by the Ministry of Health on Friday 19 Feb 2010 confirmed 2 new bird flu cases in Egypt, bringing the total number to 102. The 101st case is a 13-year-old boy from Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. The 102nd case is a 30-year-old woman from Qellin city, Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. So far the identity and place of residence of the 100th case has not been announced. According to the Flu Trackers web-site the 100th case may have occurred in the Dakahlia governorate, but the details are unknown
