Avian Influenza update

There has been little activity over the northern spring and summer but new human cases continue to be reported from Egypt. Despite many newspaper reports there have been no confirmed new human cases in Indonesia.
Fresh reports of detection of the H5N1 virus in wild birds have come from Russia and Mongolia during the past month.
