Current situation

Avian influenza remains an active problem with continuing activity this year in Asia and Egypt. Human cases have been noted in Egypt, Indonesia and Vietnam while a number of outbreaks (so far without human cases) are still not fully under control in Bangladesh and adjacent parts of India.
